This author has done it yet again! An easy 5 star read. This book had twists, turns, suspense and trauma. I really felt connected to the FMC. The investigations in this book were written so well with so much knowledge and insight that it made me feel like I was in the room with the detectives. I loved the representation of New Orleans culture as well. But, one of the many things that stood out most to me was the depiction of trauma and human resiliency. Two people can go through trauma and react to it in completely different ways. This book was raw, real, and an amazing thrill of a read. I LOVED IT! Katie
